Tom Anderson is running for one of three Tigard City Council seats in the November 3, 2026, general election. The city’s August 31 certification lists him among eight council candidates. Voters may choose three candidates for four-year terms beginning January 1, 2027.
Experience and public service
In his statement in the county’s November voters’ pamphlet, page WC-38, Anderson identifies himself as a principal real estate broker and small-business owner. He lists a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, council service from 2016 to 2020 and again in 2026, and planning commission service from 2007 to 2013. These are candidate-submitted biographical details.
On his campaign biography, Anderson describes more than 20 years living in Tigard. He lists service with the Tigard Chamber of Commerce’s Government and Public Policy Committee, Tigard Downtown Alliance, Rotary Club and Basketball Association, along with youth sports coaching and overnight shelter volunteering.
