Tualatin families can spend a free afternoon decorating pumpkins, parading in costumes and eating ice cream sundaes at the Winona Grange Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The annual event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 8340 SW Seneca St., according to Tualatin Life.
Activities include harvest-themed crafts, a photo booth, an old-fashioned cake walk, pumpkin decorating for kids to take home and Harvest Trivia. The Encore women's chorale, which rehearses at the hall, will lead a sing-along of fall favorites.
Families who join all the activities can collect free raffle tickets. Organizers plan to raffle off prizes and family experiences at local venues during an ice cream social.
A costume parade rounds out the afternoon. The Grange said costumes can be fall-themed or a Halloween preview but asked families to skip anything threatening or scary.
The Winona Grange was organized in 1895 to connect isolated farm families and predates Tualatin's incorporation as a city, according to Tualatin Life. The current hall was built in 1940. More details are available at the Grange's website.
