Tigard and Tualatin families can get 10 straight days of carnival rides, live music, and fair food without paying a dime to walk through the gate.

The Washington County Fair opens Friday, July 24, at Westside Commons in Hillsboro and runs through Sunday, August 2, with free admission every day.

Butler Amusement will set up 32 rides and attractions on the fairgrounds, including the Zipper, Area 51, a Ferris wheel, Super Slide, and a 20-car Scooter arena. Unlimited ride wristbands cost $36 on weekdays and $41 on weekends, available at self-serve kiosks in the carnival area. Individual ride tickets will also be sold.

The Main Stage concert lineup includes country act Sawyer Brown at 8 p.m. Friday, July 24; ABBA tribute band Band After Midnight at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30; and Queen Nation, a Queen tribute act, at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 1. Other headliners include Earth to Mars (Bruno Mars tribute) on Wednesday, July 29, and electronic artist Maddy O'Neal on Friday, July 31. All concerts are free.

Two movie nights fill the early-week gap: Disney's "Tangled" screens at 8 p.m. Monday, July 27, followed by the new Pixar film "Hoppers" at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.

All-Star Stunt Dogs makes its fair debut this year. Returning favorites include The Flying Royals trapeze show, Brad's World Reptiles, and Nomad Axe Throwing. Kids can catch Molly's Musical Adventure and Hillia Queen of the Rings daily at the Grove Stage.

Washington County 4-H, FFA, and open class livestock shows run throughout the fair, with awards presented Sunday, August 2.

The fair opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends, closing at midnight each night, according to the Valley Times. Parking is free Monday through Thursday; on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays it costs $10 per vehicle ($15 for oversized), cash only. TriMet MAX service to Hillsboro is an option for those who want to skip the parking lot.
