Three Wednesday evenings of free live music begin Wednesday, August 5, at Cook Family Park, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and bands taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m.

Tigard Parks and Recreation's annual Concerts in the Park series kicks off with Hit Machine, a five-piece Portland-area band led by bandleader Bart Hafeman.

According to Valley Times News, expect everything from Prince to AC/DC to The Bee Gees in a single set. The band has headlined Hood to Coast in Seaside and Fort Vancouver Fireworks, and performed at Blazers playoff games at the Rose Garden.

The second show, Wednesday, August 12, features Eagle Eyes, a Vancouver Island, B.C.-based Eagles tribute act known for precise vocal harmonies spanning the band's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame catalog. The series wraps Wednesday, August 19, with Wild Boys, a Portland-based Duran Duran tribute band.

The August 19 date appears in the Valley Times report but had not yet been posted to the city's event calendar as of Monday, August 3.

All three shows are free.

They take place at Cook Family Park, 17005 S.W. 92nd Ave., the same venue that hosts the annual Festival of Balloons and El Tigre Fest. No tickets or registration are required.

Food and exhibitors

Nine food vendors will set up at each concert: RB Wok & Grill, Arrow Coffee & Desserts, Laura's Home Baked 4 U, Cha Cha's Cookies, Kona Ice, Boba Gems, Frutas Y Antojitos Diana's, Asona Cuisine, and Veggie Snax.

Community exhibitors include AARP, Tigard HOME (the city's long-range housing planning project), Many Stages LLC, Sweet Do Fairy Hair, and Damsel in Defense.
