Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue's Board of Directors meets Tuesday, July 28, at 3 p.m. to vote on correcting an error in the fire district's budget for the fiscal year that began July 1. The Bethany Beacon reported the appropriation at $289.6 million.

The vote on Resolution 2026-05 is the central action item at the board's regular monthly meeting, held at TVF&R's Command and Business Operations Center at 11945 SW 70th Ave. in Tigard.

The resolution would amend the budget appropriation the board originally adopted at its June 23 hearing, according to a public notice posted in The Oregonian.

The specific error in the original resolution has not been disclosed publicly. The meeting packet, posted to TVF&R's website on Friday, July 24, contains the details, but the district has not summarized the problem in any public statement.

TVF&R spokesperson Stefan Myers did not respond to questions about the error before publication.

The board will also take up two other items: a first reading of Board Policy Section 10, which covers maintenance standards, and a vote on a district-wide Wi-Fi purchase.
